Its core focus is on non-contact, non-destructive, and imaging inspection of a wide variety of materials. Applications can be found in industries such as food processing, electronics, chemicals, metal and plastics processing, medical technology, and security.

Since 2024, the two technology companies, IMS Messsysteme GmbH and IMS Röntgensysteme GmbH, have been listed in the World Market Leader Index under the IMS Group brand as a “World Market Leader Champion (Germany).”
