Imprintec GmbH develops innovative testing systems for the direct determination of mechanical material properties on real components. Using the patented i3D® indentation method, properties including yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and complete stress-strain curves can be measured locally and precisely – without the need to machine conventional tensile specimens from the component.

The technology enables rapid material characterization, local property measurements and automated testing workflows – from laboratory and mobile applications to inline quality assurance in production. Imprintec supports applications across aerospace, defence, automotive, additive manufacturing, energy and infrastructure.

The i3D® method is standardized according to ASTM E3499-25 and is also based on DIN SPEC 4864.
