Based on our intelligent data acquisition system technology (Smart Logger), the DSC provides a comprehensive diagnosis of the vehicle’s suspension condition based on its actual operating conditions.
Its NGVA-compatible architecture makes it essential for any HUMS, predictive maintenance and component traceability system.
The purpose of the Digital Suspension Controller (DSC) is to manage the suspension system by:
• Recording and analysing data from both the vehicle and the various suspension components, in order to act upon the different suspension systems and optimise the performance and service life of the components.
• Providing value-added data to assess the health and usage of the suspension system, thereby enabling better maintenance decision-making by the various stakeholders.
Piedrafita’s hydropneumatic linear suspension combines spring action and damping in a single compact system, reducing weight, volume and integration costs. Its hydraulic preload improves stability, comfort and manoeuvrability in armoured vehicles, whilst the company’s proprietary triple-valve technology ensures precise control, consistent performance in the face of temperature changes and simplified maintenance.
The track tensioners developed by Piedrafita are optimised for tracked vehicles weighing up to 70 tonnes, both on new platforms and in modernisation programmes. Fully adjustable in terms of gas preload and compression force, they maintain constant tension even on extreme terrain. Integrated with the vehicle’s suspension, they offer robust, reliable tension management that is adaptable to any climate and operating condition.
