The countdown is on: Euro Defence Expo (EUDEX) will soon be opening its doors for the first time at Messe Essen. From 22 to 25 September, the new B2B format will bring together the international security and defence industry. With today's launch of the ticket shop, the hot phase of preparations begins: trade visitors can register as of now and secure their tickets. Registration is possible at www.eurodefenceexpo.de.
EUDEX offers experts from industry, armed forces, politics, public authorities and research a high-calibre platform. As a dedicated trade fair, it creates an ideal setting for exchanges between peers, concrete project initiations and strategic partnerships – international, practical and future-oriented.
Security check – early registration recommended
Tickets for EUDEX are available via the official ticket shop. The regular day ticket costs €79. Members of the Bundeswehr and allied armed forces are granted complimentary admission. Representatives from public authorities as well as research and development benefit from a reduced rate of €35. Ticket purchase is possible following successful registration. Access is generally activated at short notice after completion of a security check. Early booking is recommended, ideally at least five days prior to the planned visit.
EUDEX: a platform for industrial strength and technological sovereignty
As a European industry meeting point, EUDEX focuses on clearly defined key topics: industrial performance, technological innovation, whole-of-government resilience and civil-military cooperation. Particularly in light of growing security policy challenges, close collaboration between industry, armed forces and the public sector is becoming increasingly important. The new trade fair concept has been well received within the industry. Numerous companies are taking the opportunity to showcase their expertise at EUDEX. For example, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia will be represented with a joint pavilion, where established companies and innovative start-ups will present technological solutions for land forces, cybersecurity and the protection of critical infrastructure.
Under the guiding theme “Modern Industrial Manufacturing”, suppliers to the sector will showcase state-of-the-art production methods, digital processes and scalable industrial solutions – key factors for a capable and resilient defence industry. Confirmed participants include Dinse GmbH, GEDIA Gebr. Dingerkus, Mattermost and Messer SE.
Interface between civil and military security
Additional added value arises from the parallel staging of the established security trade fair Security Essen and the annual conference of the Joint Air Power Competence Centre (JAPCC). This creates thematic synergies and new opportunities for cooperation – for example in the field of CBRN defence, which is of central importance both for armed forces and civil protection. The Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (BBK) will be present at Security Essen in Hall 5 – just a few steps away from EUDEX – underlining the close connection between the two security sectors.
One ticket – maximum networking
The EUDEX ticket also includes access to Security Essen. Additional tickets for the JAPCC Conference and the EUDEX Conference by CPM are available online. The EUDEX Conference by CPM will take place on 23 and 24 September at Messe Essen, with the theme “European Deep Strike Capability” at its core. The focus is on one of the key capability gaps in European defence: the development of credible deep strike capabilities – from intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and target acquisition through command and control structures to industrial production and ammunition availability. As a strategic forum within the framework of EUDEX, the conference brings together high-level decision-makers from politics, NATO, the military, European institutions and industry to discuss concrete solutions for the operational implementation and industrial scaling of European defence capabilities.
